There were two Cornish athletes selected to compete in these Finals at Exeter which was held at Exeter Arena on Saturday and Sunday, 21st &22nd September – Isaac Ketterer (Penair) in the junior boys pentathlon & Lowena Riley (Helston) in the senior girls heptathlon.
The weather was warm & sunny though windy for the Saturday when Lowena started and Isaac competed. Isaac thoroughly enjoyed the day finishing in 22nd place and only a few points off his personal best score. The weather turned very wet at times on the Sunday. Again Lowena performed well finishing in 15th place which was very creditable considering she had found it difficult to train recently with just starting at university.
Both athletes are a very real credit to Cornwall.
