The 68th Cornwall Schools Athletic Championships were held on Saturday at Par track after a year’s break because of the pandemic.
Thankfully the sun shone throughout the day. Numbers were limited because of the safety for Covid security and sadly in some events there was limited competition for the athletes.
There were however three new county records Sam Brereton in the senior boys high jump 2.14m, Micho Tao in the Intermediate boys 200m 22.3 and Erin Buzza in the junior girls shot 10.42m.
The Andrew Worden award for Intermediate boys 800 mts was won by Jake Allen (R.Lander).
