There were excellent performances by the Cornish senior athletes at the E.S.A.A. Combined Events Final on 16th & 17th September at Bedford.
Lowena Riley (Helston) came 16th & Kaya Cairney (Truro College) was 5th. Both athletes are a year young in their age group. Kaya set an English Schools record in the 100m for the decathlon 10.94.
Both produced personal best performances and with Exeter being the venue for the Championships next year could all bode well if they continue to compete in the heptathlon & decathlon.
